Did anyone notice how Google is more and more irrelevant when it comes to real searches on the web ?
I mean, if you know exactly what you’re looking for but you don’t know how to spell it, Google is your friend.
However, if you want to find lebanese food to order, a vector map, or other services providers you’ll end up in tens of pages with no actual content that you might be interested in.
If I search for “lebanese food” I would expect to see a list of lebanese restaurants or at least informations about lebanese food in general. In reality Google shows me 10 spam sites that abused Google algorithms. And a bonus, a fake add to a restaurant advertising “best lebanese restaurant” but if you click, there’s no lebanese food.
There are too many spam sites, which means Google is hacked. Its algorithm is outdated and abused. I often refuse to start a web search because I know it’s going to be a pain ignoring all the fake results.
Question is, why do we keep treating Google as the best while it isn’t ?
